Modern Saltbox
Long Island Sound
With ten angular gables, this house stands boldly on the Long Island Sound shoreline, ensuring that every bedroom offers a glimpse of the water. From the street, the facade features simple nine-pane windows and a Tudor-style two-story window, while the rear surprises with expansive glass walls in each gable, providing panoramic views of the Sound and Manhattan skyline. This dual identity reflects the homeowners’ desire to embrace both modernity and tradition. Our clients love the water and chose the property for its direct access to the Sound. Throughout the design process, we prioritized water views, ensuring the house blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings while offering comfort and functionality.
