This house in Edgartown Historic Village was designed for lifetime summer residents of Martah’s Vineyard. They wanted a home their growing family could enjoy for years to come. The relaxed floor plan balances openness in the living space and kitchen with privacy in the library and detached pool house. The design needed to be timeless and reflect the historic neighborhood, and a sloping site inspired an unconventional step-down garden entrance.
